This top is worked in-the-round, with slight shaping at the center front and back. The center two cables twist over each other at the base of the neck, then run up alongside the neck to the shoulder straps.
The top is meant to fit very closely at the bust. The fabric will stretch to fit a bust size 2-4" larger than finished measurement.
The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 5 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge.
32 sts and 33 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Cable Pattern, using larger needle.
At 6' tall, I used to have a hard time finding sweaters with long enough sleeves. So I took up knitting to make my own sweaters.
