I am a mostly stay-at-home wife. With our kids are grown, this time of life frees me to pursue my creativity. I teach fitness classes to senior citizens part-time and quilt, knit and crochet at home. I taught myself how to knit and crochet from magazines when I was a young teen, and haven't stopped since.View all patterns by designer (11) »
The Broadway Ponchette is a stylish, elbow-length poncho, suitable worn with jeans or over a dress. Just enough coverage to keep the chill off. Yarn used in sample was Broadway by Artful Yarns. Broadway is now discontinued but can still be found on Ebay and in stash sales on Ravelry and Etsy... Or you can substitute any other lovely bulky weight yarn. I recommend substituting Malabrigo chunky, Lamb's Pride bulky, or Cascade 128 for a lovely result.
The pattern includes two sizes, S/M and L/XL. It requires 200 (300) yards of bulky weight yarn and a 24" circular needle, size 15.
Finished width around arms and bust is 44"(48"), and finished length is 15"(17").
This is a quick and easy knit, suitable for beginners with just a few projects under their belt. Great for a quick gift or for yourself!
