The ribbed openwork in this stunning cardigan makes it great for many body types. It molds nicely to your curves, especially with the tie at the waist, and flares out slightly at the hips. The yarn used for this pattern is not a plied yarn, so it blooms slightly; you might want to take that into consideration when choosing a yarn for this pattern. A yarn that gives excellent stitch definition will give you a very different look, since the openwork pattern will show up more clearly.
The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 5 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge.
22 sts and 27 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Openwork Stitch, using larger needles

At 6' tall, I used to have a hard time finding sweaters with long enough sleeves. So I took up knitting to make my own sweaters.
