This intricate mix of cables and lace in a fabulous chunky knit has a wonderfully intricate pattern to get your teeth into.
The inspiration for my Graceful sweater came from a beautiful stitch swatch that I saw,and played around with for over a year. I made it into all sorts of accessories and I
loved it so much that I wanted to put it into a garment somehow.
I have used Scrumptious Chunky, because the silky sheen brings out that fabulous stitch definition, whilst also
being a fairly quick knit. This project demands a solid yarn otherwise the lace will be lost.
Despite being Lacey I wanted it still to be comfortable enough
that the wearer can choose to put a layer on
underneath.
I advise to knit up a swatch first in the lace, which goes up the front and back. It may not feel particularly intuitive at first but it will
certainly help you get a proper feel for the stitch pattern.
17 sts and 21 rows to 10cm in lace and
cable patt using 6mm needles
