  • short row heel
  • knitting in the round

Pattern Description:

A truly holey sock! Beginning with a Loopy Edging and easing into a very open scallop mesh fabric (which ideally suits handpainted yarns), with a garter stitch short row heel, and short row sole adjustment

This pattern is also available as a kit from my website.


7.5 stitches per inch in garter stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Small, Medium, Large Adult Sizes


  • 75 grams Main Colour (preferably a Variegated Handpaint) in Fingering Weight Wool
  • 30 grams Contrast Colour (for cuff, heel and sole) in Fingering Weight Wool

You Will Also Need:

  • 2-2.25 mm dpns or circular needle
