(6) Name: 'Knitting : Allspice

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl
  • pick up stitches
  • short rows (tutorial links included)

Pattern Description:

Allspice is a very playful and very girly cardigan featuring cute ribbed or belled ruffles and ribbed texture throughout. It is a part of the "Spice Girls" series of cardigans designed for everyday wear, each one with a little unique spice of their own.

Allspice is a variation of Saffron design; Allspice is worked from the top down, uses short rows to shape shoulders and set-in sleeves. This cardigan has a different fit and construction as compared to Saffron which is a top down raglan shrug, but the overall look is similar.

The cardigan is completely seamless.

Allspice is more suitable for intermediate skilled knitter or a very adventurous advanced beginner.
