This cardigan is a great layering piece for any season. It has top-down raglan construction, worked in one piece, and is completely seamless. Sleeves are split at the underarms and the body is worked in one piece to the hem. Stitches are picked up and knitted to create the front bands and short rows are used to create the shawl collar. If you have never done short rows before this is a great first project to learn them on.
Sleeve stitches are then transferred back to needles and bound off to create cap sleeve, although pattern can easily be tweaked to create longer sleeves.
2.5 stitches & 3.75 rows = 1" in St st
