Basic Skills Necessary:

  • st st=stocking stitch (knit one row, purl one row= two rows)
  • inc = make a stitch by knitting into the front and then into the back of one stitch.
  • k2tog= Knit the following 2 stitches as 1 stitch

Pattern Description:

A beautiful, tactile, curvy, felt bag.
"Yvonne" is neither too big or too small, this curvy bag will hold all your essentials.
With 2 strap length options it can be worn as a shoulder bag or across the body.

I have written this pattern in 2 versions-
Circular ( in the round) or Flat ( 2 needles stocking stitch) so you can choose which method you prefer.

SUITABLE FOR- Confident beginners or Intermediate knitters. If you can do stocking stitch and follow a pattern I explain the rest as you go along.


tension - 11sts x 16 rows = 10cm (4") st.st. square
Knitted using 1 strand of Grundl Flizwolle

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Felted Size 24cm (9 .5") high 20cm (8") wide
  • 2 Options for approx strap length Standard shoulder strap 102cm (40") Longer across body strap 140cm (55")


  • 8mm needles (11 US)

You Will Also Need:

  • Button
  • Stitch markers ( loops of coloured wool or small hair elastics)

Suggested yarn:

200 meters of Worsted weight
