Before tackling gloves, you should have some experience with knitting fingering weight yarn in the round - other than that, this is a rather easy glove pattern, since it's done in plain stocking stitch!

Pattern Description:

These gloves will keep you extra warm because of the extra layer! On the milder days you can wear the gloves without the wraps. And there are more options for variations: You can use 2 solid colour yarns, if you prefer. Or use the variegated yarn for the wrap, and the solid one for the glove. And then it's up to you whether you use the reverse stocking stitch side for the main glove (this is truly reverse stocking stitch: you will knit in stocking stitch - much more fun! - and once finished, turn the glove inside out), or the plain stocking stitch side.

And if you enjoyed the knit: knit lots more wraps and gloves, and combine them differently each day!

The yardage given is rounded up to full Regia yarn skeins.

This pattern provides detailed instructions (8 pages) with illustrations. Both sizes have been test knitted by several knitters.

30 sts x 42 rows = 4x4" / 10x10cm

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

The gloves have some negative ease for a snug fit. Women's Medium best fits a hand circumference of 19cm / 71/2" above thumb, and Women's Large one of 20cm / 7⅞".

Materials:

100g (420m) variegated yarn such as Regia 4-ply Design Line Kaffee Fassett in Mirage Jungle 4351 (colour A in instructions)
50g (210m) solid colour yarn such as Regia 4-ply in Kardinal 1078 (colour B)
2.5mm long (or circular) needles for knitting flat
2.5mm set of seven dpn's (or any other needles that knit to the right tension, and can be used for circular knitting)
2.25mm set of five dpn's (or 0.25mm smaller than main needle size)
2 stitch markers
2 buttons (about 21/2cm / 1" diameter)
