Pattern Description:

A handsome cable-and-moss texture does the trick to transform a simple ring cowl into a favorite winter accessory. This quick, unisex knit in three sizes (S/M/L) makes a great on-the-go project to add to the gift stash or keep for oneself.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size


20 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch (unwashed, unblocked)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 17.5(20, 22.5) inches in circumference and 6.5 inches in depth (blocked)


  • 145(165, 185) yards of any soft DK yarn with 260-300 yards per 4 ounces.
  • Needles: size 6US(4.0 mm) 16-inch circular needle (larger sizes can accommodate a 24-inch needle)

Suggested yarn:

185 yards of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:
