A beautiful chunky lace cowl that is wonderfully light and comfortable. The lace pattern is feminine and modern. The spaces created by the lace pattern trap body heat keeping you comfortably warm. It is the perfect fall and winter accessory, it dresses up a plain t-shirt and jeans and looks just as beautiful with a sweater dress.
Knit this cowl with only 100 yards of bulky weight yarn or 80 yards of super bulky yarn. The pattern is easy enough for a beginning knitter. It makes a wonderful gift and knits up so fast you can make several!! It is a great project when you want to splurge on a special yarn, or use what you have in your stash (every knitter has to have at least 100 yards of bulky yarn in their stash, right?)
Using bulky yarn (in pattern repeat) 2 stitches per inch and 3 rows per inch on size 11 needle, (in garter stitch) 3 stitches per inch and 4 rows per inch on size 15 needle. Using super bulky yarn (in pattern repeat) 7 stitches per 4 inches and 10 rows per 4 inches on size 15 needle, (in garter stitch) 2 stitches per inch and 3 rows per inch using size 13 needles.

My passion is creating knitting patterns that I can share with other knitters. I love the coziness, texture and visual design of knitted fabric. If I could cover everything in the house with knitting I would, and I'm workin' on it! My husband and two teenage boys are wonderfully supportive of my knitting habit and thankfully don't mind living among lots of yarn balls and knitting books. Patterns for knitted lampshade covers, lovely throws, knitted pillow covers and of course knitted curtains are all in the works so check out my projects as I work on them and then my patterns shop to try them out yourself!
All the patterns I sell in my shop come with pattern support. Just send me an email (included in pattern) or post a comment and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have, I love to talk knitting:)
