Basic Skills Necessary:

  • read charts
  • knit lace

Pattern Description:

White Atlantic is a rectangle stole worked in two halves from center outwards featuring Shetland Lace motifs. Lace is patterned on both sides. The stole is worked on garter st ground.

The first and second half are identical, the first half is started with a provisional cast on and worked towards the edge; the second half starts with undoing the provisional cast on and working from center outwards.

This pattern uses charts.


20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 240 cm x 50 cm


  • 850 - 1010 yards of fingering weight yarn
  • US4 / 3.5mm knitting needles
