Pattern Description:
Who doesn't love butterflies? The butterfly stitch resembles the wings of a butterfly... as strands of yarn are gathered to give this hat it's whimsical, playful look. My daughter Caitlin (in the black hat) has gotten so many compliments when she wears hers. :)
Gauge:
18 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 3 Sizes to fit Toddler, Girls, Women
Materials:
- 1 skein worsted weight yarn (#4) I used Caron Simply Soft - 315 yards per skein will yield 2 hats
You Will Also Need:
- stitch marker, U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) 16" circular needle and set of 5 DPSs or size required for gauge, yarn needle, pony beads, steel crochet hook for adding beads
