Watermelon purse knitting pattern ...

This cheerful zip up purse is quick to knit with chunky yarn. The knitting pattern uses only a few simple stitches: knit, purl, knit front and back increase and purl two together decrease, and is knitted in one piece. The purse has a zipper to close it along the top, so to finish your purse you will need to be familiar with sewing in zippers.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The purse is 16.5cm wide at the top, and 10cm deep at the middle.


  • The purse is knitted flat on straight 5.5mm knitting needles
  • The purse is knitted in chunky yarn (less than 25g) of pink, white and green.

You Will Also Need:

  • The pips are embroidered in black yarn
  • You will also need a zipper, sewing needle and thread (the zipper is sewn in by hand, not using a sewing machine)
