Pattern Description:
This is a triangle shaped shawl, knit from top-down. The body part of it is a very easy to knit lace and an excellent TV watching or travel project. The border, while still not too complicated, does require a little more concentration.
This shawl has been test knit in fingering, sock, sport, DK and even bulky weight yarns, and it looks beautiful in all. You can make it in one single color, or add as many color changes as You like.
There are three sizes. small size really is meant for heavier weight yarns and it will still be more of a scarf size., the large size is a full size wrap.
The pattern is charted.
I believe this project to be suitable for an adventurous lace beginner. Probably not as the first lace project, but definitely doable, if you are comfortable with knitting in general and can read charts.
The white-grey-black shawl shown in photos is medium size.
Materials:
- 300m -940m of fingering weight yarn
You Will Also Need:
- 3.5mm circular needle, 100 cm (40 inches) long
- 2 stitch markers for marking center sticth

I have tried a lot of crafts, but these have stayed with me for most of my life. My first project was a dress for my doll at the age of 5 or 6, with some help of my grandmother. It was fairly good in fact, even had a pattern that I remember still. From scarves and vests, I have done sweaters and shawls even at an early age - both crocheted and knitted. Here I have to say big thanks to my mother, who was always a little pushy with me about finishing the projects when I was getting bored with them… :) Lately I have developed and addiction to making shawls and scarves. I just love them!
I like trying out new techniques and patterns, there is always something I have not done yet…
I speak (and read) fluent English, Latvian, Greek and Russian, but I will answer my messages in English or Latvian.
