Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knitting in the round
  • using double pointed needles

Pattern Description:

This is such an easy pattern. It is a great beginner pattern if you are just learning to use double pointed needles.

But, this isn't about the pattern...it's about inspiration!

Unplanned Peacock Superwash Merino is hand dyed and yes...machine washable! And so soft.

I made these for my niece to wear to dance class. The story and inspiration are included with the pattern :-)


5.5 stitch = 1 inch using US Size 5 needles -as per label

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • newborn to age 5 (adult woman's arm)


  • 230 yards Unplanned Peacock Superwash Merino DK "Snakeroot"
  • US Size 5 double pointed needles - Set of 4

You Will Also Need:

  • darning needle
  • stitch marker

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of DK weight
