I live in Albuquerque NM & even though I grew up completely surrounded by all things fiber and knitting related I only started knitting in 2008. Now that I've spent a few years within the fiber & knitting community I cannot imagine not ever being a part of it. I love lace and its my current passion in my design work & I'm excited to see that growing & evolving over time.
Where ever you are in the world I hope you are happy, healthy and part of your fiber community doing whatever your fibery thing of choice is that makes your heart smile!
Lately I have found myself inspired by the different colorways I have been working with. This KnitPicks Tonal Sock yarn in the colorway "Wine Tasting" is no exception! The colors in this yarn sing, much the way a good classic red wine does with the many different notes, levels, and flavors. To match this classic colorway, I added a vintage double scalloped lace edging to the shawl. Like pouring another glass of wine, it just seemed right!
This is for my Aunt Betty who loves wine possibly more than anyone I know and whose glass is often next to her needles.
Gauge is not important but if you change the needle size or the weight of the yarn this can affect the overall yardage needed to complete the pattern, please keep this in mind!
