Very Vanilla Socks Pattern

Pattern Description:
This is my very basic 'go-to' pattern when I want to knit plain vanilla socks. It's a great pattern to show off beautiful hand-dyed sock yarns.
The socks are knit in the round from the cuff down with a traditional style heel flap, gusset and wedge toe.
Gauge:
8 stitches to 1 inch in stockinette (stocking) stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- womens medium
- approx. measurements are: Leg circumference 21.5cm (8 1/2") unstretched. Foot circumference 19cm (7 1/2") unstretched.
Materials:
- 100g Fingering (4ply) yarn
- US # 1 (2.25mm) set of double pointed needles or 2 x circular needles
