Here's the perfect project for anyone new to knitting - one that's sure to result in confidence as well as a good-looking hat. It uses one skein of yarn and is knit in garter stitch only (knit all stitches) - there's not a purl in the crowd. Throw in a couple more skeins and make a set by adding a scarf to the mix, or use smaller amounts of multiple colors and create striped masterpieces that are as unique as your style. This classic duo is such a breeze to make that it will be hard to stop at just one. Go ahead - indulge yourself and your love of color - make a bunch!
9 sts and 10 ridges (20 rows) = 2" (5cm).

I can't remember when I couldn't knit, crochet or sew. I am inspired by yarn I find, trends I see on the street, window shopping in Manhattan and suggestions from fellow knitters and crocheters. My goal is to create stylish patterns that are easy to wear, and to find the simplest way to construct them.
