Pattern Description:

I love how cables can twist and turn in unusual ways. This beanie is knit from the top down for an easily adjustable fit, with a stylish cable pattern on either side that grows along with the hat. The design is unisex, suiting men and women equally well, and it makes a great gift.

Cable pattern is charted only.
Knit from the top down (on DPNs or your circular method of choice)
Sizes: S [M, L] (shown in sizes S and L)
To fit head: 20 [22, 24]" (50 [55, 60] cm)


21 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette in the round

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit head: 20 [22, 24]" (50 [55, 60] cm)
  • Finished measurements: 17 [20, 22.5]" (45 [51, 57]cm) around brim 8.25 [8.5, 9.5]" (21 [22, 24]cm) long


  • Set of US6/4mm DPNs
  • Set of US4/3.5mm DPNs
  • 2 [2, 3] 50g balls of DK weight yarn
