A hat for the cold weather, with chunky cables, earflaps and braids. This was inspired by my son, Jason, who wanted a fashionable and functional hat to wear at the ski hill, where he goes at the first sign of snow. The yarn used is light, but you can of course use a different yarn - it's all up to you!
I also designed this hat for those who prefer to knit with two needles - many people commented to me that they don't like, or can't, knit with circular needles, so I figured out how to make this with a seam up the side.

I have been knitting for decades - aran sweater, designer garments, baby and toddler clothes. My recent foray into pattern designing has been so rewarding, and such fun - I am now often seeking inspiration all around me! I also have a one-year-old grand-daughter for whom I love making unique garments.
