I started knitting in the long cold winters of Armenia while serving in the Peace Corps. Knitting was a way for me to keep some remaining shreds of sanity. My first knitting projects were small toys that I would hide in my friends homes when I went to visit them...Ok, maybe knitting fed my lack of sanity.
