When I first started to knit I was intimidated by the idea of cables the same way I was of double point needles. One day I just sucked it up and tried them. I completely fell in love. The three-dimensional quality it creates is what I love most.
After that I looked for cable hat patterns and found a few that weren't bad but I felt like the decreases around the crown looked sloppy on all of them. The perfectionist in me sought to create a decrease that continues the pattern and neatly decreases. I am really proud of this pattern and I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I do!
