Pattern Description:

Tired of winter? Ready for spring? Try knitting up this sweet little hat to keep your kiddo's head warm from those early spring winds. The hat features a single rib brim, robin intarsia motif and a cheerful pom-pom. It is knit flat to accommodate for the intarsia.

Gauge:

18 stitches and 27 rows = 4" 10 cm in st st on larger needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 16 (17, 18, 19, 20, 21)" 40.5 (43, 45.75, 48.25, 50.75, 53.25) cm approx circumference of body of hat To fit 0-6 months (6-12 months, 12-18 months, 2-3 years, 4-6 years, 6-10 years) Sample in picture is 20" 50.75 cm on 20.5" 52 cm head circumference.

Materials:

  • Lark by Quince & Co. (100% wool; 134 yds 123m/ 50g) 1 skein each (all sizes) in Petal (A) and Pomegranate (B), and a small amount of Twig (C) Or approx 65 (70, 80, 90, 105, 120) yards in MC of worsted weight yarn and 20 yards (all sizes) in CC of worsted weight yarn
  • 16" circular or two straights in size US 6 4 mm 16" circular or two straights in size US 7 4.5 mm Or size needed to obtain correct gauge

You Will Also Need:

  • 2 stitch markers
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Black, brown, and orange embroidery floss Embroidery needle
