Neckwarmers are a quick knit and make fun gifts. They are great for cold weather to keep necks toasty warm without the bulk of a long scarf.
For this pattern, you will need to know the knit stitch and purl stitch. Although it is fairly simple, the result will be stunning.
The pattern consists of 4 repeating rows and it is recommended that you keep track of each row by using a row counter.
Sizing can be altered by using different weight yarn and changing the size of the knitting needles. Following the pattern below will create a neckwarmer that measures approximately 4.5 inches wide and 23 inches long.
This pattern can also be modified to make a full length scarf; simply continue to knit to desired length and do not add buttonholes or buttons. Be sure to purchase extra yarn! (3- 4 times more will be needed).
Photo shows pattern worked with 2 strands of Worsted Weight Wool and 1 strand of Fingering Weight Wool.
