Pattern Description:

Trenza is an interesting beanie, comprising of a sideways cable and lace band, which is grafted together. The body stitches are then picked up and worked vertically.

Pattern is provided in both written and charted format, and links to specialist tutorials are also included.


20sts x 26rows to 10cm/4inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit size: 18 (21, 23) inches, 45.75 (53.25, 58.5) cm
  • Finished size: 15 (17.5, 20) inches, 38 (44.5, 51) cm


  • 100g/240yds/220m Natural Dye Studio Dazzle DK
  • OR 100g/220yds/201m Cascade 220

You Will Also Need:

  • set 4mm DPNs
  • tapestry needle
  • stitch marker
  • waste yarn
  • crochet hook (for provisional cast-on)
