Trees in Snow (scarf)

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • ability to understand knitted lace
  • knits, purls, yo's, k2tog, ssk, k3tog

Pattern Description:

Snowflakes gently drifting down to cover the trees ... and just as softly, this scarf (knit here in 100% cashmere) floats just as gently round your neck.

This was our project for the Saturday portion of the "Getting Cozy with Cashmere" workshop at Spring Gate Farm's. This is a very do-able scarf for those just venturing into the amazing world of lace knitting -- the directions are charted AND written (for those who prefer one or the other) and the two halves of the scarf are identical.

  • approx 200 yards light fingering weight cashmere (or wool with a bit of halo). Sample shown used Spring Gate Farm's 100% cashmere in Spring Green.
  • US #10 needels
