I have been knitting for 58 years and since the grandchildren arrived have been knitting daily. I decided I wanted to create easy predominantly seamless knitting projects because I love knitting in the round, and more important I hate to sew pieces together!
I have had many wonderful comments from knitters who have created items from my patterns and like their finished projects, but should you come across a flaw or something that doesn't seem quite right in the instructions, I hope you will contact me! Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any of your questions or concerns.
You are free to sell your finished items, but please give me credit for the pattern.
Thank you and happy knitting!
My 4 1/2 year old granddaughter asked me if I would make her a hat in pink. She asked me what else I could make for her. She suggested boots! LOL! I told her I couldn't make boots, but I could knit her a scarf to go with her hat. She loved that idea! She is in pre-ballet class, and I used ballet as my inspiration for the design because I think the ruffles look like tutus. I also made her younger sister a similar adorable set.
The perfect yarn for this project is Caron Simply Soft 100% acrylic. The yarn is double-stranded for the majority of the hat (not the ruffle). The scarf is not double-stranded, but it is also knit in the round, so it is doubly thick as well.
2-12-2015: The ruffle's round 7 should really be round 6 and has been corrected.
