Pattern Description:

A cool, Nordic silhouette in a quick and cozy worsted gauge. The stranding makes it extra warm, Dale of Norway Freestyle makes it extra practical and the knit-as-you-go braid trim makes it a ton of fun. If you've never done this type of braid before, jump right it - it's much easier than it looks, and complete instructions are included.

Gauge:

18 stitches and 24 rows = 4"/10cm in stranded stockinette stitch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size for adults, approximately 21 1/4" finished circumference

Materials:

  • One 87 yd / 80 m , 13/4 oz / 50g ball of Dale of Norway "Freestyle" washable 100% wool yarn in a light shade, "A".
  • One 87 yd / 80 m , 13/4 oz / 50g ball of Dale of Norway "Freestyle" washable 100% wool yarn in a dark shade, "B".

You Will Also Need:

  • Suggested needles: 1 set of size 8 US / 5mm double pointed needles (Or, whatever size you need to obtain the gauge, below. Alternatively, you may use one long circular needle with the "magic loop" method, or two shorter circular needles.)

Suggested yarn:

170 yards of Worsted weight
