Linen bags are sturdy, practical and a great way to transport heavy loads of shopping, books and other items home from the shops or the library. However, they can tend to be, well, a little bit on the boring side. Not any more! The four bags in this collection each takes a craft-store linen tote liner and transforms it into a stunning and stylish accessory. What is even more delightful is that little sewing is involved in their construction since the liner is pre-formed.
The pattern includes four different bags:
. The "Back-to-Nature Bag" has a subtle blend of creams and greens in a stitch that looks almost crocheted.
. The "Sarasota Shopper" features bands of texture giving an understated elegance that would be right at home in the shopping mall or at the beach.
The last two bags look quite different but are from the same basic pattern. Both feature long handles that enable the bag to be easily carried over the shoulder. Inside, an attached key ring carabiner provides the perfect place to hold a set of house keys or your library ID card.
. The black and red "Falmer Book Bag" has a strong graphical design and is perfect to carry a good quantity of books and DVD's home from the library.
. The "Southampton Book Bag" is worked in a single dark color, and has a liner dyed in a strongly contrasting shade. Long color-matched handles are then added to complete the look.
The 3 patterns included here are .pdf files formatted in a US version for Letter-sized paper. However, the files are also available in a UK format for A4 stationery. Please message me if you would like me to send you this version instead.
