Do you have 25 gram of sock yarn or more around? No ideas what to make of it? Look no further - here(tm)s a sweet little garter stitch scarf to tide you over!
The pattern repeats are easy to remember and it(tm)s ideal for quick gifts and commuter knitting. Not to say instant gratification!
The Lytel scarf grew out of a desire to use up the remainder of a skein of sock yarn. It(tm)s knit in garter stitch until halfway through the yarn before decreasing, thus maximizing the potential of your skein. The pattern includes instructions for knitting it as a triangular shawl.
Sport weight yarn can also be used, and I recommend a 4.5 mm needle for this.
Not important as long as you're pleased with the result!
I cannot remember how or when I started crafting, but most likely at school back when girls were taught sewing and knitting, while the boys had woodcrafting. Nowadays, I work hard at insulating my house with yarn and make my family handmade gifts for every occasion, regretting the lack of time for knitting. But never regretting my stash buildup! A girl's gotta have choice!
