Pattern Description:

Interlacing cables embellish the front of this fun & easy beanie pattern! Decorative, twisting edges along each side accent and enhance this, creating a project you'll love!

Knits up in less than a weekend!

Uses chunky weight yarn #5, and US10(6.0mm)-16"/41cm length circular knitting needles. Cable needle & DPN are needed for decreasing or stay on your circulars using 'The Magic Loop Method'.

Knits up approximate sizes:
(6-12 months) -17"-18.5" head circumference
(12-18 months) - 18.5"-19" head circumference
(24-48 months) - 20"-21" head circumference
(5-10 years) - 21"-22" head circumference
(Adult) - 21"-23" head circumference

15 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on US10 (6.0mm) needles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 6-12mos(12-18mos)(24-48mos)(5-10yrs)(Adult)


  • Chunky weight #5 yarn approx. (70-90 yards/64-82 meters)-depending on size making
  • US10 (6.0mm) - 16"/41cm length circular knitting needles
  • US10 (6.0mm) DPN for smaller sized hats/decreasing rows, or stay on circulars using Magic Loop Method
  • cable needle(DPN works also!)

You Will Also Need:

  • stitch marker
  • row counter
  • tapestry needle
  • scissors
