Textured Acorn Beanie
Textured Acorn Beanie
Textured Acorn Beanie

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cable, make one and make one purl

Pattern Description:

This beanie features the "textured acorn" pattern, in the body of the work. I found this stitch in a very old knitting book and it was called the Acorn stitch. But after a bit of searching, I discovered that it is now called the Textured Acorn Stitch.
I made a swatch and just fell in love with the pattern.
I wanted to create a hat/beanie, because the material this pattern creates has a great stretch.
I designed a ribbing that works really well going into the main body of the pattern, but it is a bit tricky, so you need to pay attention to your stitches.
This pattern is also adaptable to almost any yarn weight and size.

  • 16" circular needle and DPs in size 8
