Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Long Tail Cast On, knit, purl

Pattern Description:

Get into the Art Deco Era with this wonderful project! This project is designed to use just one skein of sock weight yarn. You will have yarn left over, enough to make another one for someone else!


26 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in seed stitch


  • You will need approx. 200 yards of fingering weight yarn (see my Ravelry group for yarn ideas) I used Handmaiden Swiss Mountain Sea Silk.
  • Dental floss threader or needle threader (for threading beads on to yarn) or Bead Spinner, or collapsible eye beading needles and a small soup bowl.
  • Set of US size 5 (3.75 mm) needles
  • Tapestry needle
  • (Optionable) Small weaving shuttle or heavy cardboard cut to a manageable size.
  • Size 8 glass beads 80) grams (Approx. 2400)

Suggested yarn:

200 yards of Fingering weight
