Pattern Description:
This shawl pattern is inspired by the shawl worn by the lovely Reese Witherspoon in the movie Sweet Home Alabama. The pattern gives instructions for making the shawl as wide or as long as you would like. I was delighted to supply pictures of my shawl to be featured in the July 2011 issue of the U.K. publication "Let's Knit!" All that's need to make this shawl is a knowledge of how to knit, purl and a basic knowledge of crochet for the trim.
Gauge:
4 stitches/6 rows = 1" square
Materials:
- Size 9 - 29" circular knitting needles
- Size I/9 crochet hook
- 4-5 skeins Red Heart Soft Seafoam Green Yarn
- 1 skein Red Heart Soft Chocolate Brown Yarn

About the Designer
My grandma ♥Stella♥ was a first generation Norwegian immigrant and taught me how to knit over 40 years ago. I grew up in Minnesota and have relatives all over the northern part. I transplanted myself to Virginia about 25 years ago and love the mild winters here!
