Keep the ears of the one who shovels your snow warm! Put four layers of good merino wool between you and the icy winds (it works for sheep). The ultimate warm hat. Although not a quick knit, this makes excellent carry-around knitting for the ardent knitter. The interconnected two-layer fabric is made with a basic double-knitting technique.
