Pattern Description:

This is just about the simplest wrap pattern that you will ever find. This wrap is created using only knit stitches and simple increases/decreases, making it an easy project for even a beginner knitter to tackle! The finished product works as a wonderful photography prop with a huge number of uses - it can be wrapped around a newborn or pregnant belly or simply used as a basket liner or blanket. While this wrap looks similar to a pod or egg type design, this piece is actually knit flat. Through wrapping an infant in the blanket you can still get the pod/egg effect, as shown in the first two listing photo.

Gauge:

Gauge is not really important with this pattern. If you want a tighter knit with smaller spaces, simply use smaller needles. For larger spaces, use larger needles. If you don't choose to use the yarn recommended, it is best to find a similar yarn with some bloom/fuzzy qualities to it.

Materials:

15mm straight needles
1 ball Katia Ingenua yarn (approx. 115 yards needed)
Darning needle
