Pattern Description:

Three different scarves are included in this pattern! These cotton scarves are fun and easy to knit-- just right for those long summer vacation drives. A variety of finishes are offered: beaded fringe, tassels and knitted fobs. Pictured from left to right: Fringed, Beaded Scarf, Syncopated Brioche Scarf, and Tubular Tasseled Scarf. These scarves can be made thinner and shorter, or wider and longer -- just remember to purchase more yarn! The pattern stitches were adapted from Mary Thomas's Book of Knitting Patterns, a Dover reprint. Learn the Purse Stitch, the Syncopated Brioche Stitch, how to make Knitted Fobs and Wound Tassels!


Approximately 19 sts/4 inches (10cm)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approximate Blocked Size: 38" long, 5" wide.


  • Needles: US size 5 (3.75 mm) needles
  • Two to three 50g balls of cotton yarn, 108-120 yds/ball

You Will Also Need:

  • Optional: beads to string onto the fringe
