Stray Cat is designed for two colors of lace weight or fingering yarn. But why not use leftovers from your previous projects for more contrasting colors, or even multi-variegated yarn, which is usually difficult to integrate into lace projects.
The shawl is worked from the neck down and starts with just a few stitches. It is shaped in such a way that it will stay on your shoulders conveniently even before blocking.
The pattern is fully written out and charted.
Test knitters reccomend these yarns:
madelinetosh tosh lace
Aade Lng Artistic 8/2
Aade Lng Artistic 8/1
Garnstudio DROPS Alpaca
18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette
For detailed information about measurements of the finished shawls, yarn amounts needed for different sizes etc. please check the table located among the photos.
I am a Lithuanian living in Hungary - for more than 10 years already. I learned knitting still as a child, and then knitted occasionally, but very passionately. I also did pottery, web and print design, but have no time for that anymore, because I again got obsessed with knitting and this time with designing as well.
