Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to knit, purl, cast-on, bind-off
  • Simple increases (yo) and decreases (k2tog, ssk, sl1-k2tog-psso)

Pattern Description:

Strawberry is a summer shawlette worked in fingering weight yarn; perfect for chasing away the chill on cool summer evenings.

The shawl is designed to be shorter but wider than the traditional triangle shawlette.

Both written and charted directions are included.


20 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch BLOCKED

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Blocked, the sample measures: 18"/48.26 cm from neck to point and 40"/101.6 cm across the top edge (curved)


  • 400 yards fingering weight yarn
  • US #6 [4mm] needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle
  • Blocking materials (pins, mats, etc.)
  • Stitch markers
