The majority of the knitting on these lovely
smocked mitts is done inside-out and from the top
to the bottom. So, a little unusual, but very easy!
If you've never worked smocking before, never fear. I have a tutorial at the end of the pattern and there is a video online here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuZeF5WFHqA&feature=youtu.be
Before smocking: 38 sts = 4" / 10cm in
unsmocked, unstretched Beaded Purl Rib.
After smocking: 44 sts = 4" / 10cm.
