Knit in cotton (as shown), linen, or other light/cool fibers it is a perfect all season item, knit in a heavier fiber great for the colder seasons.

Easy, fun and quick to knit up. Just a few basic lace stitches needed.

Good project for advancing beginners and fun for more advanced knitters as well.

Simple, 2 round 3 stitch, lace pattern body with intro and exit ribbing. Knit bottom up in the round. Easily knit to be longer or shorter = sample shown @ 15" (38 cm) cowl or work to true snood length of 21" (53 cm)


Gauge not critical but sample gauge is
19 sts in K2, P2 ribbing = 4" (10 cm)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Cowl adjustable to any length and aprox 17" around


  • US sz 8(5mm)16"(40 cm) circular needles
  • 190 yds for 15" 270 yds for 21" of worsted cotton yarn
  • stitch marker
  • darning needle
