I learned to knit when I was a teenager and had (what now seems to be) all the time in the world, but I rarely took the time to complete a project. Now, with four kids, I'm busier than ever, but there are times that all I want to do is sit back, relax and knit.
I'm just getting into designing some of my own projects. The problem is, I have more ideas than I have time for.
After much begging and pleading, my two daughters have convinced me to teach them to knit. We're slowly making progress. I love that we can share knitting!
When I'm not knitting, I love to be outdoors camping, hiking, rafting, swimming, biking or running. I also enjoy snuggling up for a good book or movie.
Cute! This is a simple headband, topped with the with the flower of your choice. I recommend the Pacifier Clips: Flower, by Susan B. Anderson (knit) or Slinky Crochet Flower by Teresa Richardson (crochet)
The pattern uses Elizabeth Zimmerman's "cast off" to achieve a bind off that matches long tail cast on. The bind off can take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find it stretches and looks nearly identical to long tail cast on.
