Knitting Rainbows! It can be a challenge to find patterns that allow short-colour-repeat and variegated yarns to display their true beauty but this slip-stitch design lets their vibrancy shine. These socks began as a challenge during the 2014 Sochi Olympics - an event that spawned the Indigodragonfly 'Beige' colourway which celebrates all the colours of the rainbow and is the yarn used for these socks.

Two complete pattern PDFs are provided for this pattern; one contains directions for Chart Users (Charted Version) while the second contains directions for knitters who prefer all directions written out (Non-Charted Version).

These socks are knit toe up and use the following techniques:
Judy's Magic Cast On (video link only)
Fleegle Heel (modified) (instructions included in the pattern)
Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off (instruction included in the pattern)

The Leg directions/charts for each size are given their own page to facilitate printing only the directions required.

To work the bind off it is necessary for the knitter to be able to read their knitting i.e. identify knit and purl stitches as they present themselves.

Note: The stitch pattern pulls together when the sock is relaxed making the finished circumference seem small; the pattern stitch is very stretchy, however.
