Pattern Description:

These gloves aren't as difficult to knit as you might think. The simple faggoting pattern on the back of the hands is complete before the fingers are started. If you prefer, you can leave out the stitch pattern altogether. Try adding stripes or other fancy stitch patterns once you have the technique mastered.


28 sts and 38 rnds = 4" in Stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approximately 7" circumference at palm


  • Fingering-weight yarn (CYCA #2): 400 yds [365 m]
  • Set of four or five US size 4 (3.5 mm) double-pointed knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge

You Will Also Need:

  • Stitch markers
  • Waste yarn for stitch holders
  • Tapestry needle
