hmm they look cute but buttons for toddlers? They would have to be secured very tightly I suppose.

I used the black yarn on the Sock Monkey Booties,just as cute. But I will be making these for ME,so buttons!

I usually use buttons in my items, and yes I secure meticulously. But there are alternatives to the buttons. As Angela and "cartp" said - black yarn works very nicely, or even black embroidery thread. I've used the embroidery thread lots of times.
