Basic Skills Necessary:
- Knit, purl, yarn-overs, k2tog, working simple cables, grafting.
Made in worsted weight wool, cabled Snowfield Cowl will keep you warm. The cowl is worked sideways and its two ends are grafted. The bottom edge is wider than the top edge, to keep your neck warm - this is achieved with short row shaping. The yarn-over method of working short rows is used so you do not have to wrap stitches and then pick up the wraps.
18 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm/ 4 in, in main cable pat with 5 mm needles, measured after blocking
Gauge is not crucial in this pattern.
