Basic Skills Necessary:

  • CO ~ cast on
  • WS ~ wrong side
  • S ~ slip
  • K ~ knit
  • P ~ purl
  • DP ~ double point
  • PFB ~ purl front and back
  • ST(S) ~ stitch(es)

Pattern Description:

As my twins are about to enter kindergarten, I need a bag for their snacks. I wanted the brown paper bag type of bag, but reusable and washable. This is my solution.

I have also included a short tutorial for sewing a lining for the bag.

6 stitches per inch (give or take, not incredibly important)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size


  • Set of 5 size 5 double pointed needles
  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Suggested yarn:

300 yards of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Bernat Softee Baby is used in samples, but use what makes you happy!
