Pattern Description:

A 'smalti' was a small glass tile used in mosaics during the Byzantine era.

This cowl is knit entirely in the round, the 'smalti' pattern is achieved through slipping stitches, so you are only ever working with one yarn colour at a time. Using only a small amount of aran or worsted weight yarn it is also the perfect stash buster for using up some leftover yarn.

The finished cowl is 7" high and 23" in diameter, the size of the cowl is very easy to adjust and the pattern includes details on how to do so.

This is a written pattern with no charts.
