This VERY EASY reversible scarf, with 3-stitch rolled edges and diagonal ends, has no wrong side.
It is a great project for beginner knitters who can knit and purl.
Choose one or two balls of your favorite sock or lightweight sport yarn and make a scarf any length you like - then wrap, knot or tie it anyway you want. Look at the pictures for some ideas and then let your imagination go!
In Garter stitch, 6 sts = 1" (2.5cm). Garter ridges will vary between 4.5 and 5 ridges = 1" (2.5cm), depending on yarn used. To check gauge, work 12 sts and 10 Garter ridges (20 rows), measurement of center 6 sts and 4.5 or 5 Garter ridges should be 1" (2.5cm).
NOTE One Garter ridge = 2 knit rows.
I can't remember when I couldn't knit, crochet or sew. I am inspired by yarn I find, trends I see on the street, window shopping in Manhattan and suggestions from fellow knitters and crocheters. My goal is to create stylish patterns that are easy to wear, and to find the simplest way to construct them.
